JUNE WORSHIP SCHEDULE Worship Time: - Please note that beginning May 23rd and up to and including Sunday, September 5, there will be only 1 service of worship at 10:00a.m. We will resume with 2 services of worship on September 12th. Prayer Concerns - If anyone has someone they would like to be named, please contact the Church Office @ 434-7714.  UPCOMING MEETINGS/EVENTS The Annual Auction - usually held in the spring, will take place on October 3rd this year. The evening will begin with a potluck meal at 5:00pm followed by an auction of "Good Stuff...Good Food...Good Times". Please give some thought over the summer months as to what item(s) youmight be able to donate to be auctioned off for this fundraiser. Sunday School Registration - will start on Sept. 12 and classes will begin Sept. 19. Teachers will be required and anyone able to assist is asked to contact the Church Office at 434-7714. . Cole Harbour Woodside United Nursery Ministry - The Nursery is available each Sunday for children under the age of two. Parents who feel comfortable separating from their little ones for the hour of worship can do so in the knowledge that their children will be well taken care of by the "teens" ministering in the very pleasant, clean and safe environment. Tapes of Sunday Worship - It is now possible to obtain tapes of our 10:30am Sunday Worship Services. If you were unable to attend worship on a particular Sunday and would like to obtain a tape of that service please contact the Church Office @ 434-7714 to make arrangements. Do You Have a Favorite Hymn from either “Voices United” or “More Voices” that you would like to have sung during worship on a Sunday morning? If so, please put the info on the sheet provided on the entry table. Our hymns are chosen on a weekly basis when planning our worship services and if the hymn you have submitted fits with the scripture and theological theme for a particular Sunday then there will be an opportunity for us to make use of it. Our on-line Bible Study will continue if sufficient interest is shown. If you are already a member of the group just go on the site and respond to the posting. If you would like to join the group, just email Susan at chwuc.susan@eastlink.ca and an invitation will be sent to you.  The Resource Centre will now be open on the first Sunday of each month following worship. Open Hours: Monday nights 7:00 - 9:00 PM and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00am - 1:00pm or by appointment. Come in and browse the shelves and look at bibles, hymn books, children's books, novels, devotional books, variety of napkins, cards for all occasions, journals, cross necklaces, pens, pins, sweatshirts, Baptism candles, selection of CD's, Gift Certificates and many more items. The phone number for placing orders is 404-3309. If you have some spare time, like to meet people, enjoy books, come and join the volunteer team. The choir - is offering Sobeys and Superstore Gift Certificates as part of the Shop and Support Program. This is a church fundraiser. The certificates will be available after worship each Sunday morning. We appreciate your continuing support. Recycle There is an account under Cole Harbour Woodside United Church at Karen's Recycling which is located on Main Street.Any members of the congregation can now drop off their recyclables to Karen's and indicate that their refund be credited to our church account. If anyone has recyclables and doesn't have transportation to drop them off at Karen's, please call the church office 434-7714 to arrange for pick-up.This will be an ongoing fund-raiser and hopefully, with your support, be successful in raising some additional monies for our church. Their mission is to provide essential household furnishings and other urgently needed necessities, free of charge, to families, individuals and commuunity organizations.
